I'm sick, still quite sick and I don't enjoy every moment of it. I could just feel the yucky lump of phlegm in my throat and it's making my chest feel tight. I haven't master the skill of spitting phlegm out of my mouth and will never master it. It's gross enough to have it at the throat, much less than the phlegm touches my tongue, NO WAY! I can only wait for it to be vomited out! I went to see the eccentric doctor whom I have not seen since I was three. I think so. He sat me and daddy down and talked to us. We simply explained to him about my cough, phlegm and flu.
'You've been sick for 2-3months.' The doctor said.
'Er... 2-3 weeks.' I corrected. He shook his head and said,
'No, months.' I pondered for a moment and agreed with him.
'Yeah, I was sick in January and recovered.'
'Yes, your illness went "ding dong ding dong" (his meaning was that my illness went on and off). Show me your left leg.' He instructed.
As I stretched out my left leg, I asked: 'For what?'
'Ahh... your left leg is swollen......' I stared at my leg and saw that there wasn't any obvious change, how was he able to see it? He continued,
'Actually, you did not recover from the previous illness. The infection went to hide in your kidney and has come out again. What we have to do is to prevent it from going to the lungs.'
'I'm going to hit you really hard.' He told me and gave me MC for today and tomorrow. How I wish I can be healthy and be back in school with my friends!
So I went home with the medicine he gave me. There are three anti-biotic, a flu medicine and a cough mixture. He added some stuff into the cough mixture and the nurse told me to shake the bottle real hard so that the powder will be fully mixed in. I vomited that evening, my dinner was emptied out of my stomach but not the phlegm!!!! ARGH!!! Why can't the phlegm just come out altogether at once????? I don't know what words I should lay down and explain my predicament. Not too long before, my chest felt really queasy after my medication. But it seems like I'm not going to vomit at the moment. I shall wait, WAIT!
One information to drop your jaw, the doctor didn't even use his stethoscope to examine me, all he did was 'chat' with me and he was able to know my condition. Clever huh.
Phlegm, Phlegm, go away, never come to me again! (Sung to the tune of Rain, Rain, Go away)
Tennis trial is up on Wed, it was postponed to this week cuz it rained almost non stop last Wed. Just as well, I was sick that day and Mr. Chow told me to come back next week (which is this week). I met another girl who was potentially waiting for the tennis trial to start. She was on the phone with her friend and I went up to her and asked her if she was going for the trial. Her name is Constance. Constance held me on then came back to me once she ended her call. Indeed, she was waiting for the tennis trial. She was urging her friend to come along just now. So Mr. Chow postponed my trial and since Constance was waiting for the trial too, I helped her ask the teacher if the trial is still on since the weather didn't promise us a 'sunshine after the rain'. He then decided to postpone the trail! YES! I thought I could use the time between to get well and train my mediocre skills. But it seems that I'm still sitting here, sick. Hope I will recover by tomorrow!
I arranged with my uncle on Friday to use the tennis court at his condo. So, in spite of me being sick and feeling gawky after my medication, I went on head to head with the tennis ball. Well, as it seems, my mediocre skill is still very....mediocre. What can I say or do? I nearly fainted after my short tennis practice. And it really makes me want to give up on tennis and just stick to the Photog Club. However, since I made it thus far and since I made the effort to hone my skill, I shall head for the trial on Wed and the teacher will decide for me.

One more thing, there's a moral in this story, that is not to be a SHOPAHOLIC like Becky!!
Shaun sent me a get well message not too long before. How nice of him, thanks Shaun!
PS. I strongly believe that my Chinese zodiac has a part to play for my illness. My Chinese zodiac is at loggerheads with the Rat. So, you can see, as I step into the Rat year, my health deteriorates!
